Pune: Star Air announced that it has launched non-stop, direct flight services to Surat (Gujarat) from Belgaum (Karnataka) and Ajmer (Rajasthan) under the popular RCS-UDAN scheme. A scheduled commercial airline promoted by Ghodawat Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., which is the aviation arm of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, Star Air commenced its operations in Surat from 21st December 2020. The airline operator stated that the service will help thousands to travel conveniently and affordably in the Belgaum-Surat-Ajmer (Kishangarh) region.
The carrier stated that it is receiving a strong response on this route since it broke the news of launching services in this sector. Company officials revealed that its inaugural flights registered an 82% overall load factor.
The airline stated that flight services on these routes will prove beneficial for those living in and around Belgaum and other districts of four Indian states.
“Belgaum-Surat-Ajmer (Kishangarh) flight services would be a very convenient option for frequent flyers. If you see, to cover a distance of over 1,480 km between Belgaum and Ajmer, passengers will just need to spend 3 hours instead of the tedious and tiring 25 hours long commute required from other modes of transportation. Moreover, the travel time between Surat-Belgaum and Surat-Ajmer (Kishangarh) will be reduced to just 1 hour 20 minutes,” said Shrenik Ghodawat, Managing Director of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group.
Star Air is already running Belgaum to Ajmer services via Ahmedabad and Indore. Surat is the third city from where Star Air is connecting Belgaum & Ajmer. After commencing operations from Surat, Star Air is now serving passengers in 11 Indian cities.
