Chandigarh: Chitkara University has announced that the Taiwan Education Centre (TEC) was inaugurated at its Punjab campus on 12 December. The purpose of TEC is to boost and enhance the educational and cultural collaboration between Chitkara University and Taiwan.
During the inauguration ceremony, an MoU was signed between Chitkara University and National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) to formally commemorate the partnership. The TEC, which had a soft launch a couple of months ago, already has 14 students enrolled in the program and is expected to have more takers after the launch.
Addressing the faculty, Deputy representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC), Chih-Hao Jack Chen, said, ”The launch of Taiwan Education Centre (TEC) at Chitkara University will accelerate the growth of the educational, cultural, economic collaboration between India and Taiwan.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Madhu Chitkara, Vice Chancellor at Chitkara University said, “With the inauguration of the Taiwan Education Centre (TEC) at our campus, we have moved one more step towards international collaborations. We thank TECC and NTHU for making this happen and look forward to making this initiative a grand success.”
Chih-Hao Jack Chen and Dr Chitkara were joined by Dr. Ashok K. Chitkara, Chancellor of Chitkara University; Dr. Wang, Wei-Chung, Director, Centre for India Studies, National Tsing Hua University (NTHU); and other delegates.
