Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral Chowdhury in India to discuss Milan 2020, bilateral exercises: MoD

New Delhi: Chief of Naval Staff, Bangladesh Navy, Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury is on an official visit to India from 7 to 12 December. The visit aims to consolidate bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh, as also to explore new avenues for naval cooperation, said the Ministry of Defence in a Press communication today.

During his visit, Admiral Chowdhury will partake in bilateral discussions with Chief of Indian Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh and other senior officials of the Indian Armed Forces.

Important maritime engagement issues related to operational interactions such as conduct of bilateral exercises, port calls by ships, training, hydrography cooperation, participation in various Indian Ocean Region (IOR) related events such as Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS), and International Navel Exercise Milan 2020 will be discussed during the visit.

In addition to New Delhi, Admiral Chowdhury will visit Kochi, Vizag and Kolkata where he will have discussions with senior naval officials and visit various naval units as well as Indian shipyards.
