MSMEs contribute 29.7% of GDP, 49.66% of Indian exports: Union Min Nitin Gadkari

New Delhi: Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Nitin Gadkari, revealed today that MSMEs contribute 29.7% of GDP and 49.66% of Indian Exports. Government has taken various initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through schemes such as Credit Linked Capital Subsidy and Technology Upgrade Scheme (CLCS-TUS), Micro and Small Enterprises – Cluster Development Program, Procurement and Marketing Support and support for MSMEs to participate in international exhibitions and trade fairs, conferences, summits and workshops.

This information was given by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha today.
